The Centre of Responsibility (COR)
The Participating Agencies believe that working collectively and collaboratively with their combined resources and expertise, in a full-time concentrated effort, will achieve systemic change and bring new capacities for solutions to societal problems often rooted in anti-social behaviors. A broad strategic action is envisioned, an action resourced to address a full range of challenges spanning a spectrum from complex individual needs to holistic community needs. It is believed that this collaborative work can build safer and healthier environments for individuals, families, neighborhoods, businesses, schools and our overall community.
The Participating Agencies agree functions of the COR include, but are not limited to:
- establishing data collection protocols using the Hub database which houses real-time, de-identified, data;
identifying systemic issues and evaluating trends at a local and regional level;
generating opportunities for research and hypothesizing solutions to social problems that impact communities; and,
measuring the overall outcomes of the Hub model.
